The CH Lab, in line with advancing specialized education and the transfer of applied knowledge, is currently designing and developing a series of educational packages in the fields of cultural heritage and agricultural heritage. These packages are structured to respond purposefully to academic, professional, and executive needs. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, they cover topics such as documentation and digital scanning of heritage assets, conservation and restoration practices, analysis of agricultural heritage systems, and the application of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and the Internet of Things, as well as the integration of heritage with tourism.

The content of these packages combines theoretical instruction, case studies, practical exercises, and field-based experiences, aiming to enhance professional skills and empower participants. This initiative is currently in the process of preparation and development and will be systematically delivered and expanded in the future through structured courses, specialized workshops, and educational platforms.

In addition to its written scholarly outputs, The CH Lab places strong emphasis on the development of multimedia content. In this regard, it actively pursues the production of documentary films, expert dialogues, and televised interviews as effective tools for knowledge dissemination and the promotion of cultural heritage. These productions are designed to document field experiences, record ways of life and indigenous knowledge systems, and reflect key issues and challenges within the heritage sector, while fostering meaningful connections between the academic community, the general public, and executive institutions.

By employing visual storytelling and engaging with experts and practitioners in the field, the laboratory is able to deliver content that is both accessible and engaging, yet academically grounded. This area of activity is currently expanding and is expected to develop further through documentary series, talk-based programs, and collaborations with national and international media platforms.

The CH Lab considers the publication of scholarly articles in reputable ISC and ISI-indexed journals as a central component of its scientific output. These publications, focusing on topics such as agricultural heritage, architectural conservation and restoration, World Heritage studies, and innovative approaches to heritage management and utilization, are the result of both theoretical and field-based research conducted within the laboratory and are disseminated in national and international academic journals.

In addition, the presentation and publication of papers at national and international conferences constitute an important part of the laboratory’s academic activities, providing opportunities for knowledge exchange, the dissemination of new findings, and engagement with the broader scholarly community. This ongoing effort contributes to strengthening the laboratory’s academic standing and expanding its research networks at both national and global levels.

The CH Lab regards the production of written knowledge, particularly the authorship and publication of specialized books, as one of its core activities. Through the development of scholarly works, the laboratory seeks to contribute to the advancement of both theoretical and applied literature in the field of cultural heritage, with a particular emphasis on agricultural heritage.

In this context, the published works of Dr. Hosein Raie—including “Architecture of Historical Farmsteads in Iran with a Focus on Hot and Arid Climates,” “Notes on the Historical Monuments of Iran (Abyaneh),” “Notes on the Historical Monuments of Iran (Niasarnameh),” “Collected Archaeological Articles on Bisotun,” “Balance Between Nature and Heritage in Conserving Cultural Landscapes,” and the collaborative volume “Human-Environment Relations in Historic Villages: Khovidk”—are considered significant contributions to the understanding of Iran’s architectural and cultural heritage and can be evaluated within the framework of scholarly research in this field.

Continuing along this trajectory, two new book projects entitled “Agricultural Heritage of Iran” and “Intangible Agricultural Heritage of Iran” are currently under preparation. These works adopt a systematic approach to the identification, analysis, and interpretation of various dimensions of this field and are expected to serve as key reference sources in agricultural heritage studies at both national and international levels.
